This is a high speed diamond saw for "trim cutting" of SEM pucks and or selecting a metal cube from a large area.

This precision diamond saw is used more for TEM sample prep whereby a 3 mm rectangle is cut during tripod polish prep and or a slice is cut from a metal face for further grinding and polishing to "foil" thickness for twin jet polish.
