The Varian is an oldie but a goodie. It is a filament heated physical vapor depostion system and as such can deposit a variety of films: Au, Pt, Cr. It is mostly used for Chromium FIB protect layers. It is turbo pumped but as it is filament heating it can potentially deposit films with less damage than either of our two sputter chambers.
